Orchestra of the Tadeusz Szeligowski Primary and Secondary Music School in Lublin


In past years, the orchestra has performed at the Lublin Philharmonic, presenting works such as Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, Franz Liszt’s E-flat and A major Concertos, Edvard Grieg’s A minor Concerto, Frédéric Chopin’s F minor Concerto, and Henryk Wieniawski’s D minor Concerto. To mark its 10th anniversary, the orchestra, led by Iwona Borcuch, performed G.B. Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Lublin Archcathedral, featuring a guest appearance by Professor Urszula Kryger. The orchestra’s notable achievements include: the 2nd prize in the International Orchestra Competition in Nyiregyhaza (Hungary, 1993), the 3rd prize in the Competition in Jesenik (Czechia, 1996), the 1st prize and Grand Prix (Summa Cum Laude) at the Music Festival for Young People in Neerpelt (Belgium, 2000), the 1st prize at the Music Festival for Young People in Neerpelt (Belgium, 2001, 2006, 2008, and 2015), and participation in the special 50th-anniversary concert of the festival in 2001, where the orchestra was selected from among 57 ensembles from around the world. During the event, the orchestra had the opportunity to perform for the Belgian queen.
