Emmanuel Strosser

l’Épau, La Roque d’Anthéron, La Folle Journée, and the Colmar Festival. He is invited to collaborate with top symphony orchestras such as the Radio-France Philharmonic, the Orchestre National de Lille, and the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra. Chamber music plays an equally important role in his career: he is a privileged partner of Olivier Charlier, Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabédian, Xavier Phillips, Raphaël Pidoux, Peter Wiespelwey, Romain Guyot, and the Prazák Quartet. He co-founded the Owon Trio with Olivier Charlier and Korean cellist Sun-Won Yang. He also forms an outstanding piano duo with Claire Désert. In addition to performing across Europe at venues such as Wigmore Hall, the Royal Academy in London, the Cité de la Musique, the Opéra Comique and the Salle Gaveau in Paris, he regularly appears in South America, the United States, Japan, and Korea. Born in Strasbourg, he began his musical education under the tutelage of Hélène Boschi, then studied piano with Jean-Claude Pennetier and chamber music with Christian Ivaldi at the CNSMD Conservatory in Paris. Winner of several unanimous first prizes, he further honed his skills with Leon Fleisher, Dmitri Bashkirov, and Maria João Pires. In 1991, he was a finalist in the Clara Haskil Piano Competition. His extensive discography, well appreciated by the press, includes several albums featuring music by Gabriel Fauré and the three Sonatas Op. 10 by Beethoven (Choc award from Le Monde de la musique magazine). Emmanuel Strosser has also recorded two recitals of Chabrier and Schubert for Mirare, as well as three albums of piano pieces for four hands with Claire Désert.
