Marcin Grabosz graduated from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where he studied piano with Professor Grzegorz Kurzyński and conducting with Professor Mieczysław Gawroński. He maintains close artistic ties with Wrocław-based composers, performing both their piano and orchestral works. As a conductor, he collaborates regularly with the Symphony Orchestra of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music and has led the Symphony Orchestra of the Karol Szymanowski Primary and Secondary Music School in Wrocław since 2008.
In 2018, he prepared and conducted a production of Karol Szymanowski’s operetta Lottery for Husbands, or Fiancé No. 69, staged by the Academy’s vocal department as part of their final-year diploma project. In addition to his conducting work, Marcin is active as a pianist and arranger, with a particular interest in both classical and jazz repertoire.
He received the special prize for Best Accompanist at the Competition for 20th- and 21st-Century Music in Radziejowice, organised by the Polish Society for Contemporary Music. In 2009, he recorded an album for CD Accord with soprano Agata Zubel, featuring song cycles by Alban Berg, Aaron Copland and Paweł Szymański. He holds a doctorate in musical arts and is also active as a composer. His chamber works have been performed at national and international cello competitions.
