Urszula Rusek

Seventeen-year-old violinist Urszula Rusek has been a pupil at the Feliks Nowowiejski General Music School I and II Level in Gdańsk since the age of seven, studying under Marta Stachowiak, MA.

She is a laureate of numerous international competitions, including the International String Instruments Competition in Elbląg, the Małopolska International Music Competition in Kraków, the Witold Rowicki In Memoriam International Violin Competition, the Brussels International Music Competition, and the Rome International Music Competition. She has also received awards in national competitions held in Poznań, Toruń, Grudziądz, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sosnowiec, and Lublin.

Throughout her education, Urszula has taken part in many concerts, workshops, masterclasses and music courses. Her training has included the ViolinArt conference at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, the Winter Music Academy at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice, the Janowiec Music Interpretations Masterclasses, the Puławy & Violin Winter Courses, and the Pomeranian Violin Workshops. She has worked with many distinguished musicians, including Professors Tomasz Król, Bartosz Bryła, Agata Szymczewska, Małgorzata Skorupa, Łukasz Błaszczyk, Magdalena Rezler, Maria Machowska, Jakub Jakowicz, Paweł Kukliński, Janusz Wawrowski, and Sebastian Hamann. In January 2025, she participated in the Orchestra4Young workshops led by Maestro Adam Sztaba.

Urszula is a recipient of the Mayor of Gdańsk’s Scholarship. In addition to music, she is also passionate about dance.
