Founded in 2017, Quatuor Elmire was awarded Second Prize and the Fondation Étrillard Special Prize for the most outstanding artistic project at the prestigious Geneva Competition in 2023. The quartet is also a prizewinner at the Carl Nielsen International Competition in Copenhagen.
The ensemble now performs in major concert halls such as the Philharmonie de Paris, Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Philharmonie Luxembourg, and La Grange au Lac in Évian. 2024 marked their debut at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt and their participation in the 30th anniversary celebrations of La Folle Journée in Nantes.
Having benefited from the guidance of leading quartets including Modigliani, Ysaÿe, Belcea and Ébène, Quatuor Elmire is an artist-in-residence at the Fondation Singer-Polignac and at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium, as well as a principal resident ensemble with ProQuartet, a “Génération SPEDIDAM” artist, and a laureate of the Banque Populaire Foundation.
